KEFKA wants you to sign!

Do you want a nice figure like this?

Yacchau yo!

Want your very own Celes figure?

Then, help us. Help your desires by Signing the Final Fantasy VI Play Arts Petition (clicky).

I told you to look at Setzer!!! XDDD

Ahh...I wish they added Setzer-sama to the list. :/

Male Figures are more controversial?!

I know this is post-dated to some people that are clamoring for the distant future or the infinity and beyond. However, this is one unforgettable past which would always be for the lulz.

In Japan, those scantily-clad women that you can strip off to a certain degree or totally; is not really considered "outrageous." However, what's really weird is that, at one time, these two totally decent-dressed hunks were deemed more scandalous than strippable chicks.

Case no. 1: LEON-MAGNUM

Squall Leonhart
Final Fantasy VIII
1/6 scale Sofubi Kotobukiya Statue

Also known as Gackt's Doll (Gakuto ningyou); a rumor about this 1/6 scale Squall Leonhart statue emerged from an E-bay seller claiming that it was once recalled from the stores. Whatever the truth about this figure's limited availability, we could see some reason as to why the E-bay seller claimed it was pulled out. To put it in Gackt's term since he claimed it IS his doll ~ Squall is proud of his big, long and hard Magnum...

...aka: Gunblade.

Case no. 2: LEON-MAGNUS

Leon Magnus
Tales of Destiny
1/10 scale PVC/ABS Kotobukiya Statue ~ LOL. Why does circumstances love to pick on Kotobukiya, huh? :P

In lieu of the unfortunate Akihabara stabbing incident caused by some random psycho who went loco but neither played Tales of Destiny nor did anything beyond an epic fail high school drawing; sexy Shinn Asuka look-a-like Leon Magnus-kun was pushed to a September 2008 release, voluntarily by Kotobukiya.

...and what was the direct reason blamed this time?

Suggestive pose. Again.

...as for Billy Herrington

Oh god, don't even get me started on that one. 0_0;

Kingdom Hearts by Mirage Toys

Thanks a lot to our dear friend Archie for these classic Kingdom Hearts action figures by Mirage Toys (c. 2000). KH by Mirage Toys ran for two series but are quickly overshadowed by the passage of time and because of Square-Enix's Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II Play Arts figures. Still, one cannot deny the possibility of some characters from Mirage's classicals being potentially in-scale with the Play Arts figures.

Knowing Square-Enix whose currently not budging in making Goofy, Donald and whoever else; these Mirage classics indeed a gem. :D

Now then, for the pics~! :D

The King and his loyal "steed"

"There would be no light...if there is no darkness!"

I'm rather surprised with the weight of the Maleficent figure. That's solid plastic! XD

...and the three party members.

That's what friends are for! :3

Sadly, Kairi is too small.
But fortunately, Goofy and Donald are relatively in-scale. Goofy is a bit incorrectly colored but a future repaint would solve the problem. :)

I still haven't tried them with the Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora though. That to follow. ^^;
I think height issues on Goofy can be fixed with longer black rods which is to be used to replace his short legs.

Figma Cute "Shift Body" Movie

Cute: Hey guys! Watch me get stripped! *w*

XDDDDDDD

Figma's "Cute-exclusive" Shift Body system further explained in this new movie (clicky)

The Shift Body looks better on Mikuru...but the oppai are smaller, unfortunately.

At the end of the vid, you get to see Cute's parts. Myriad of hands, dual blades, two facial expressions and the Shift body. Accessory agony that screams to be needing not just the usual Figma parts bag but a bigger Revo Container.

Lala Popplip Papa Lapped a Pap Lopped ~ "Starry Eyes" for short.

The concept of Shift Body is iterally "Shift" and "Body." If Max Factory's esteemed Figma line had been famed for the extra heads with their Haruhi and Lucky Stars; Cute has an extra body with oh lala shredded clothes (but it actually looks more like a segment from a Yujin SRDX).

Very tedious as you'll be mutilating Cute before you strip her off ~ or in action figure terms, remove some some parts from one base body and then place it on that static M-Mode (if we'll put it in the Revoltech QB terms) alternate Shift Body.

Right now, I have no interest in personally mutilating Cute...not until I see her pwning Jan like how Rachel does to Gii in BlazBlue.

Gekitou Pack which screams more like "Get-it-now" than "Ge-ki-tou"

Release date of the Gekitou Pack and the game is December 17, 2009. If I could get one, I'd probably not shift it to the "M-Mode" because I like stripping off Jan better. (Ohhlala Zetsubo-shitta!) XDDD

As for my Queen's Blade Action Figure "Harem" ~ Still waiting for my Echidna Revoltech. :/

Yujin Drossel von Flugel Articulated Figs

For those fans of the sweet, sophisticated gynoid duchess; particularly those that missed (and still missing) the Drossel von Flugel Figma from Disney's epic win shot at 3D Sci-Fi anime "Fireball;" the often turned down company Yujin is now offering them as 10-cm articulated SR figures!

Line-up: Normal Version/no gizmos; Flight Version; Fighter Version and Prayer Version

Yes, they have some sort of articulation on them based on the photos. The articulation may not be as good as the Figma but we can't be too picky.

...and let's give Yujin the benefit of the doubt. These Drossel babies are definitely well-sculpted. It really shows that Yujin had improved since their scantily-clad Lineage SR's.

It was supposedly scheduled for a January release but was postphoned on June but still undecided until that time. Finally, the "SR Fireball" is to be released late August according to an announcement in the official blog.

*insert that big image up there here*

By the way, "Fireball" consists of 13 short stories which was broadcast in Disney Channel on April 2008. It was compiled as a 2-part 3DCG animation work. This is Disney's first shot in producing animation with a Japanese staff. Interesting!

The protagonist, "Drossel," can definitely charm any person that looks at her princess-like poses. Although she is an android without any facial expressions, still it doesn't hinder a person from being interested with her.

Well, the "SR Fireball" has a full movable specification (added articulation feature) which Yujin is proud to present along with their history in making figures in their SR line. Total figure height is approximately 10 cm. There are four figures in the line-up and wow, they're all Drossel girls! However, they should give the steward, Gedatchinis a chance. Don't you think so? (Cain Nox's note: I AGREE!!! :/ )

- Normal Version
- Foppish Flight Unit which appeared in episode 3 with two-tail specification
- Kapoeira / Karate of the eleventh episode with a grapple unit
- Prayer unit which has not yet appeared in the main series so far.

This line-up is indeed expected as the fans had been made to wait (Cain Nox's note: Oh really? Actually I've only heard about this now. ^^;) and that MAX Factory "Figma" (3200 Yen June release) sold like pancakes. The definite release date for this is currently not well-decided as there are two tentative release dates

Appearance of a new flashy Unit!?

* insert some personal comments about Cherry Blossoms in Japan...ohhh those sweet Disney employees... ^^; *

(Cain Nox's note: This "Prayer Unit" certainly reminds me of the BoZ duo from Shaman King. )

Trade name: SR Fireball
SRP: 400 Yen each (with tax)
Type: 4 possibilities
Release Date: 2009 August
Selling Agency: Takara Tomy Arts

*insert season comments. haaaah...*
To those who are familiar with the "SR," These figures are to be sold in Gashapon machines with that [Gachiya!] sound when you insert the coin and turn the lever.

*insert explanation about the line-up which was already explained by Plaza-Rakuten*

Along with the normal and two units that appeared in the main story, this line-up presents a never-before-seen unit.
